
Around midnight, a police patrol noticed a car going significantly above the speed limit in Route d'Esch in Gasperich. When the officers stopped the vehicle, they found that the driver was intoxicated.
At the same time, a police control on Boulevard Pierre Krier in Esch-sur-Alzette stopped a car for driving suspiciously slow and without its headlights turned on. The driver in question was also found to be drunk and in violation of the curfew.
That same evening, the police fined seven other people for breaking the curfew.
