The court heard from new witnesses on Tuesday morning, who contacted Differdange police after the main accused's mother made a statement last month. One of these was a woman who left a comment on RTL's Facebook page. She then received a private message from someone who -in her view - was making insinuations.

The prosectutor's office representative was not convinced by the woman's statement. He had allowed her to attend court because she contacted the police just two weeks ago - however, the woman's statement seemed to consist more of her own opinion, amalgamated with the other person's statement, and had no useful content. Rosario Grasso, the main accused's lawyer, requested that the other person be brought to the trial as a witness. The court president agreed that this second witness be allowed to speak on Wednesday afternoon.

During the woman's deposition on Tuesday, the judge asked her if she had recently had contact with any of the main accused's family members. The woman replied she had been in contact with the man's mother and sister. The judge then asked if the woman had been told what to say in her statement, to which the woman replied she had not. However, when the judge asked why the woman had contacted the police, there was a long silence, followed by the woman asking if she could speak to her lawyer. Despite the request being granted, the woman still failed to respond even after consulting her lawyer.

Rosario Grasso asked if the witness was too afraid to answer the question. The woman said yes, and revealed she had received a phone call from an unknown person on Monday night, telling her to be careful what she said in court. She maintained she knew nothing about the two murders.

At the end of the session, the court was shown a video of the main accused's deposition alongside the reconstruction of the first murder.

The trial will continue on Wednesday afternoon.
