According to initial information, three men reportedly rang the doorbell of a single-family home and then threatened the resident with a weapon. They subsequently fled the scene with three mobile phones and a smartwatch.
Police immediately launched a search for the suspects; however, despite several patrols, the three individuals could not be located. An investigation has since been opened.
In a separate incident, officers arrested a suspected thief at the railway station on Saturday evening in Luxembourg City. Initial reports indicate that two individuals approached a man, restrained him, and demanded that he hand over his phone.
Police were able to locate one suspect during a search and seized the stolen valuables. The Public Prosecutor’s Office ordered the suspect to be taken into custody pending appearance before an examining magistrate.
