The CET's director, Nathalie Morgenthaler, announced that the centre opened 126 new cases in 2018. In total, the centre was dealing with 150 files, as there were a number of files that had not been addressed in the previous year.
39 cases focused on presumed discrimination due to a disability. A further 24 covered gender discrimination and 21 focused on racial discrimination.
Morgenthaler detailed that the consequences of the cases differed from case to case. In one case, the CET was unable to act as the issue was being treated in court. Whilst the CET solved 82 cases, the centre was unable to find discriminatory elements in 16 cases and was unable to complete 17 files by 31 December. Finally, in 34 cases, the individuals withdrew their complaints.
