On Thursday, Bissen council will vote on the classification of the site designated for Google's proposed data centre.

The first phase of voting took place in January this year, with the council unanimously voting to make changes in Bissen's general zoning plan. The second decisive vote will take place on Thursday 20 June and will confirm the reclassification of the area from an urban development green zone to a special data centre zone.

The site in question covers an area of 34 hectares. The municipality has acknowledged the need to respect the existing environment and will take appropriate measures to protect nature in the area.
