The authorities quickly brought the fire under control and ensured the flames would not spread to neighbouring buildings. In a press statement, the police announced there was no further danger to the area.

According to the report, the fire brigades from Echternach, Consdorf, Mertert and Junglinster were dispatched to the scene.
