Overnight from Saturday into Sunday, between 11pm and midnight, 112 motorists were pulled over in Remich on Route de Stadtbredimus. For one driver, the test came back positive and a report was drawn up. One licence was withdrawn on the spot. During that check, five further reports were also filed, one because the road tax vignette had not been paid, one because the vehicle was missing its technical inspection, one where a driver could not produce a licence, and one where a driver was not wearing their seat belt correctly.
Following the check in Remich, a second one was carried out in Bous, also on Route de Stadtbredimus. The public prosecutor's office had ordered an alcohol check there between 1.30am and 2.30am.
96 breathalyser tests were carried out, of which four came back positive. The drivers concerned were nevertheless allowed to keep their licences. Two reports were also filed for vehicles whose technical inspection was not in order, and a further one for a driver who could not produce a valid licence.
