RTL Today
Earlier this Tuesday, the government met with representatives of the OGBL, LCGB, and CGFP trade unions. While no official draft for the pandemic act could be presented, the unions still reported positively on the discussions.

The presentation of an initial draft for the ominous Pandemic Act in presence of representatives from all three unions was scheduled for Tuesday 11 am. The document is supposed to delineate further measures after the expiration of the official state of crisis in June.

However, no such document could be produced on Tuesday. The government stated that further adjustments still needed to be made. Prime Minister Bettel underlined his determination to create an act that would find consensus among all parties involved.

Union presidents Back, Dury, and Wolff felt reassured after the session. They reported a guarantee that the liberty of unions was not in danger.

The Pandemic Act will treat safety distances and focus on the economic repercussions of the crisis. On Wednesday morning, further relief packages and measures will be presented.

The expected draft is supposed to be delivered to the unions during the coming week.
