Home office was most used in the education sector (74%), in financial services (61%), public administration (47%). 66% of independents and freelance workers resorted to remote work.
According to the poll, no substantial difference could be observed between people living in apartments and people living in houses. Parents (52%) have made more use of remote work than people without children (45%).
Especially people above the age of 55 have resorted to home office, which can be traced back to increased vulnerability for the coronavirus. 3 out 4 people currently working from home do so because of the crisis.

The majority of people have given positive feedback on the partially novel experience of working from home. 30% have stayed neutral, while only 15% reported negative experiences. Almost a third of the latter work in the education sector.

TNS ILRES conducted the survey between 29 April and 8 May. 2,000 respondents participated in the survey.
