Together for inclusionMinister of Education criticised for inadequate plans for pupils with additional needs

The association Zesummen fir Inklusioun (Together for Inclusion) said parents of children with special needs should be allowed to choose whether they send their children back to school on Monday.

In an open letter to the Minister of Education, Claude Meisch, the association criticised the lack of detail regarding the return to school for pupils with additional needs. In particular, ZEFI deplored the fact there were no plans in place to accommodate carers, no details on transport and no guarantee that SEN staff would be available.
The association also asked why there could not be a phase of adaptation for children with special needs, including, for example, a reduced timetable.
