Drivers crossing the border from France to Esch-sur-Alzette will need to prepare for delays, as the road connecting Audun-le-Tiche to Esch-sur-Alzette, known as rue d’Audun or route N4, is closed for several weeks.
From Monday, 13 April, the Luxembourgish local authorities have announced that the route will be blocked in both directions for six weeks. Commuters from France will need to find alternative routes, as the road passing under the railway viaduct is unavailable.
The nearest detour is via Micheville, which leads towards Esch-sur-Alzette’s Belval, providing an alternative path for those affected.
