The public prosecutor’s office has confirmed to RTL that there will be no criminal trial following the deadly collision which killed three people in March 2023. According to the prosecutor’s office, the case was closed some time ago.
The incident occurred in Neudorf, on the road leading into the town from Findel. A car had attempted to overtake a bus at a bus stop, when another car tried to overtake at high speed and collided with the first vehicle. The occupants of the second car, a 64-year-old man and a 31-year old woman, did not survive the collision, while a nearby pedestrian, a 40-year-old woman, died at the scene as a result of her injuries.
