On Sunday afternoon at around 4.30pm, a police patrol stopped a car on the A4 travelling at 124 km/h. However, the maximum speed on that stretch of road was limited to 70 km/h. His licence was immediately confiscated on the spot.

Early on Monday morning, another patrol noticed a vehicle travelling at excessive speed on Avenue Lucien Salentiny in Ettelbruck. The driver was stopped shortly afterwards.

During the check, officers also detected the smell of alcohol, and a subsequent test confirmed he was over the limit. His driving licence was also immediately revoked.
