Following a tip-off from a reader, RTL contacted the Grand Ducal police, who confirmed a robbery at a tobacco shop on Rue de la Libération in Dudelange in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Details remain limited as the investigation is still ongoing, a police spokeswoman confirmed in response to our request. The incident took place shortly before 5am. A reader had indicated that a saleswoman was allegedly assaulted during the robbery, though police were unable to confirm at this stage whether any staff members were harmed, and referred further questions to the prosecutor’s office.
