Around 60 members of the Independent Luxembourg Trade Union Confederation (OGBL) and the Luxembourg Confederation of Christian Trade Unions (LCGB) gathered this morning alongside the A6 motorway. Similar to last week’s demonstration on the A3, the two main Luxembourg unions displayed a large banner on a bridge near Mamer, as part of their ongoing campaign to raise the minimum wage.

The unions are demanding a €300 monthly increase, much more than the €170 increment announced by the government at the end of March. The minimum wage is expected to be a focal topic in their speeches on 1 May’s Labour Day.
