
The Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS) reported several incidents on Tuesday, including a case in which a vehicle’s eCall system automatically alerted authorities.
Around midday, the eCall system of a vehicle that had crashed between Heiderscheid and Fond de Heiderscheid triggered an alert. Paramedics from Nordstad and firefighters from the Intervention and Rescue Centre Alebësch were despatched and treated one injured person.
Shortly after 12.30pm, a rubbish bin near the central railway station in Luxembourg City caught fire. The same issue was reported around 4pm on Rue Basse in Steinsel. Firefighters from Luxembourg City, Steinsel, and Walferdange quickly extinguished both fires.
At around 1.40pm, an automatic fire alarm was triggered at Three Acorns Park in Kirchberg after smoke emerged from an underground level. Two ambulances and firefighters from Luxembourg City attended the scene. One person was hospitalised.
On Rue de Flaxweiler in Grevenmacher, a car crashed into a wall at around 2.20pm, injuring the driver. Paramedics from Mertert and firefighters from Flaxweiler attended the scene.
