Bad news for diesel drivers: it remains the hardest hit by the oil crisis in the Middle East. This Friday, a drop of 3.6 cents will give them a little relief, but diesel will still remain above €2 per litre, at exactly €2.021.
At that price, a 50-litre fill-up translates into a painful bill of €101.05 – and this applies at every station in the country. A significant extra cost compared to last month, as the same fill-up cost only €74.25 on 3 March.
Diesel nonetheless remains below its all-time high, set at €2.112 on 10 March 2022.
Heating fuel is following the same trend as diesel and is recording a drop of 4 cents, coming in at €1.477 per litre.
No change for petrol: SP95 remains unchanged at €1.758 and SP98 at €1.858.
Despite these increases, prices at Luxembourg pumps remain lower than those of our neighbours, notably France, where the price of diesel hit an all-time record at the end of March.
